About CLAIRE BAILEY-MORSE
Since I was a small child I have been an animal lover. When I was 12 my family got our first dog, a boxer named Luna. She was my first heart dog and inspired my passion for training. In 2011, my fiancé Matthew and I adopted Lilly, a Labrador Retriever mix who was found on the side of the road at 8 weeks of age. Living and working with her motivated me to learn more about animal behavior and how to help those with behavioral problems. Currently, Lilly, Matthew and I also share our home with a cat named Ivy and Matthew’s explosive detection dog, a German Shepherd Dog named Riki.
I began working as a dog trainer in March of 2014 while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Minnesota. I went on to earn my Master’s in Clinical Animal Behavior from the University of Lincoln in the UK; and in 2020 I founded Calm Companions Animal Behavior and Training LLC to better serve my clients by providing a range of services.
Using positive reinforcement training and behavior modification techniques based on the most up to date science, I will work with you, your family, and your pet to help you find harmony. My goal is to help you enjoy a full and happy life together by establishing clear expectations, building positive trusting relationships, and ensuring open communication between you and your pet.
